Petition

Dear State Board of Education Member:

As North Carolinians, we all have a huge stake in the education of our state’s children.

The Social Studies standards of June 2020 should be adopted, not the recently proposed class-centric divisive Critical-Theory based “standards” that seek to separate us into groups where children are required to evaluate their differences from others rather than embracing the unifying concepts of our common humanity.

I stand with Lt. Governor Robinson when he wrote of the proposed standards, “Instead [of teaching how to think], they have been crafted by those on the radical left with an explicit agenda of being divisive, promoting left-wing ideology, and indoctrinating our students within public schools.”

This new set of radical neo-Marxist standards must be rejected.

If you are not familiar with the newly proposed Social Study standards please take time to hear Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, Dr. Olivia Oxendine, and other Board members explain why they are firmly opposed to these standards. Please sign this petition and support their opposition.
